Copyright
Our Service - Copyright
Copyright is a legal mechanism that grants the creator of a literary, artistic, musical, or other creative work exclusive rights to publish and sell that work. It provides copyright owners with control over the reproduction of their work, including the right to receive compensation for such reproductions.
In Mongolia, all aspects of copyright are regulated by the Law on "Copyright and Related Rights." This law encompasses the copyrights of scientific and literary works, whether in verbal or written form. It also extends to computer programs, musical compositions with or without lyrics, fine arts, decorative arts, applied arts, theatrical arts, architecture, sculptures, choreographic works, contortionist and pantomime works, plays, musical works created for stage art, photographic works, works created through methods similar to photography, glossaries, references, compilations, and databases that exhibit creative selection and arrangement of materials. However, derivative works are not protected by copyright.
The Law on "Copyright and Related Rights" in Mongolia ensures that creators' intellectual property rights are respected and provides a legal framework for the protection and management of various forms of creative expression. By understanding and adhering to copyright regulations, creators can effectively safeguard their works and exercise control over their distribution and usage.
