Not registrable

International organization’s emblems, marks leading to error, marks not different from others, geometrical signs, numbers, single letters, marks being used by public authorities, marks which are contrary to morality or public order, flags, coats of arms.

Well-known marks are registrable according to the well-known trademarks’ regulation

Priorities

According to the Convention of Paris

Licenses

TM Holder may grant licenses and the contracts must be recorded within three months of their date of completion

Renewals

Renewals upon the request and the grace period is 6 months 

Assignment

The assignment deed must be notarized and registered.

Changes of name and address

Must be registered within three months after the changes

Modification of Protection After Registration

Invalidation of marks

Possible by the official request 

Cancellation of marks

Possible by the official request or/and non-use of 5 years cancellation 

Infringement and penalties

Penalties for infringement are based on IP Law, Conflict Law and Civil Law
