WIPO’s Intellectual Property Management Project Training and Mentoring Program Launched
On June 9, 2025, the training and mentoring program titled "Using Intellectual Property to Enter the Chinese Market and Expand Your Business", jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia, was successfully launched. The program brought together WIPO consultants Ms. Silvia Trpkovska and Mr. Yaning Zhang, representatives from the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia, certified patent and trademark attorneys, as well as representatives from Teso Investment LLC, Gobi JSC, and 26 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across Mongolia. This initiative plays a vital role in equipping Mongolian SMEs with the necessary knowledge and capacity to transform their innovation and intellectual property into economic assets and to access foreign markets.

As part of the program, on June 11, 2025, Mr. Liu Yuan, guest lecturer from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and e-commerce consultant of WIPO’s Asia-Pacific Bureau, delivered a live stream via Xiaoetong—a widely used Chinese digital platform for training, content distribution, and live broadcasting. The platform also allows for real-time audience engagement analytics. Representatives from eight Mongolian private entities participated in the live session, including: Vitafit Invest LLC, Enerel Tului LLC, Urgana Industry LLC, Amgalanzaya LLC, Maris Trade LLC, Zu Zu LLC, Tsagaan Asgat LLC, Gobidara LLC. They showcased Mongolian-made products such as leather, wool, and cashmere goods, as well as organic food, health, and beauty products.

  The main goal of the live broadcast was to introduce and promote Mongolian SMEs' branded products and services to Chinese consumers. The strong audience engagement and wide reach of the session significantly contributed to raising awareness and expanding market opportunities for Mongolian businesses in China. The ATS Partners highlighted the importance of protecting intellectual property in the Chinese market.
